The 2017 Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk will be held on Alpine Pedal Path with music and kid’s zone to raise funds for the fight against multiple sclerosis. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by the opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. and the walk at 10:30. For more information you can visit Big Bear.com for the event.

Walk and have fun for a good cause by joining the 2017 Big Bear MS Walk on May 6 along North Shore’s Alpine Pedal Path. Be part of something big with dozens of teams and hundreds of walkers for a morning walk around the lake followed by an awesome party. The start and finish line is located at the North Shore Elementary and continues up the paved Alpine Pedal Path.

You can choose between a 1K walk or 5K walk, roll and there is also an option to stroll or run. The Big Bear lake and Big Bear vacation rentals are a few steps away from the participants and the stunning views of the ski resorts and snow-covered peaks of the San Gorgonio Wilderness can be seen at a distance. Along the way, there will be rest stops where you can enjoy snacks and drinks. The Alpine Pedal Path is a great early-season walk which is very popular among runners, bikers, and skaters.

You can participate in Walk MS individually or you can bring your own team. You can participate in the 1K or 5K walk, roll or stroll around North Shore Elementary School. You may also volunteer as one of the marshals for the walk. Fun is surely guaranteed for the whole family, with entertainment along the route and the finish line features a festival with food and music.

The Big Bear community is an exceptional example of support for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Big Bear Walk MS event has been successfully fulfilling the mission for more than a decade now and is actively helping to create a world free of MS.
