Camping in Big Bear Lake

Here, there are plenty of outdoor activities you can enjoy with your friends and family which include water sports, camping, hiking, mountain biking at the fantastic new mountain bike park at Summit Mountain in the center of Big Bear Lake. There is even off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding at many of the surrounding areas of Big Bear Lake. Many fun activities await RV campers that highlight national forest camping, private camping and wild life interests.

There are Big Bear vacation rentals available or you can rent a campsite or stay in one of its famous campground lots. A night of star gazing in your hot tub is a wonderful experience during your escape to Big Bear Lake.  Camp sites feature full hookups, cable television, built-in barbecues, and even fireplaces. Several hiking trails start near many of the campgrounds. If you are into water sports, you can always bring a boat and launch it at several of the local launch sites, complete with picnic tables and picnic areas. You can also rent personal watercraft, jet skies or boats.  You can wake board, water ski and even parasailing. 
For the public RV campsites, you can go to San Bernardino National Forest. Big Bear Lake offers RV sites up to 48 feet long, with beautiful spots among the pines and cedars. While some of the the campgrounds have no hookups, you will have water, flush toilets, showers and a waste station which are available on the premises. Campsites have picnic tables and grills. Hiking is a must and a stress relieving activity on many of the trails that start near the campsites.
