Located in Gilner Point, Knollwood Retreat offers a secluded and quiet retreat perfect for families, just a 5 minute walk to the lake. We've been busy renovating, redecorating and stocking up on everything you'd need for your mountain escape. This is an exceptional mountain retreat.
The interior features an open floor plan, hardwood floors, high quality finishes and thoughtful touches throughout. Unwind with a few rounds of pool or Foosball in the basement-level game room, safe from sleeping children’s ears.

The newly landscaped backyard with maples, aspens, pines and apple trees features a BBQ grill with alfresco dining, hot tub, fire pit, grassy area, boccie ball / pétanque court, and in-ground trampoline with safety enclosure.
Electric car charging with 25’ cable is located in the garage.
High speed WiFi, Netflix, Spectrum Cable. Plenty of board games and young children’s books and toys.

The City continues to focus its enforcement efforts on vacation rental units that are occupied by multiple households and/or are engaged in unsafe, irresponsible, and disrespectful behavior.
Rules to Vacation by
Do not exceed the occupancy limit
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy.
NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
No parking in street or yard
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.
No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.
Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Take your furry friend with you
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog-friendly!
Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite unless there are commercial trash bins at your property (condo).

Consequences
Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences.
Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.
Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned.

August 1st, 20195 out of 5 starsFamily weekend getawayThis was our first (whole) family getaway. I arrived first to check in and check out the home. I was extremely satisfied. The house is beautiful and was perfect for our family. I was so excited for everyone else to arrive and watch their expressions as they did. The home was clean and comfortable and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the foosball, horseshoes, pool table and jacuzzi (even though only two in our party got in). We didn’t do too much cooking at all but noticed that the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you needed. We made some great family memories and this may become an annual trip, if possible. The only damper was the mattresses in all of the bedrooms. As everyone woke up the first morning, it became clear that no one slept well. However, we were up late each night and on the go early and we caught back up on our sleep once we got home. The hot water for showers was fairly nonexistent as well but it was hot during our stay so a cooler shower wasn’t too horrible. Check in and check out were smooth and we didn’t have any issues during the stay so there was no other interaction with the management. We have already recommended this home to two other families. It really is a beautiful and welcoming home! |

September 23rd, 20185 out of 5 starsImmaculate Cabin Very Close to the LakeVery impressed with our stay at Knollwood and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the Lake is only a block away. The cabin is more like a house with nice, updated furnishings and decor. Fully-stocked kitchen with quality cookware, which is important to us because we love to cook. The game room is very cool and the hot tub is a bonus. Lots of room to spread out and we’d love to come back with a larger group. The neighborhood is really pretty and peaceful and we loved taking afternoon strolls to the lake. The village and main drag are very close by - great location. Lewis, the host, was very responsive. We’ll definitely be booking again in the winter to ski. Thanks! |

The home had more than enough space for all of us . The bbq grill had enough propane and they even had a spare tank just Incase you run out. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean! Which was great for us all. We took a neighborhood walk and discovered the lake. It was a perfect day out about 80 degrees. Overall fantastic booking. Close to town and great communication with property management. We would definitely book again with them. |

The decor was very attractive and comfortable. The downstairs game room,outside deck and hot tub were thoroughly enjoyed. The location was walking distance to Hollaway Marina and close to the town. I would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to others. |

No curtains on sliding door and the one in the living room doesn’t go down. But we would re book again regardless. |

The dining room, living room and kitchen were all open to each other which made the house seen bigger. There were signs all over the house with instructions on just about everything. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the home. We bbqed while we were there and the owner had left us with 2 propane tanks which was very nice. The spa outside was very nice (brand new) and spacious. It was great after a day of snowboarding. Usually when I stay in rentals the towels are usually very old and used out but there were so many towels and they were in great shape. We were 12 people who stayed in this home and slept compfortably. Our friends were renting a place the same weekend and we had enough room for them to come over and hang out with us. Overall great experience and I would definitely stay in this home again. |

It was close to the marina so we could get our boat rental, it was extremely clean and well maintained and it was the perfect size for all of us to fit. The game room downstairs was great for hanging around late at night and was located so that others weren't disturbed if they wanted to go to sleep. I will be renting this location again. |

The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was labeled making it easy to use things. The beds were all very comfortable, the game room was a blast for the kids to use. It was incredibly clean and well taken care of. Everything was in great condition.Management company was easy to work with. It was very easy to text questions, always got a quick response. The only negatives were the extra costs for late check out and the extra fees when you booked. However, it was completely worth renting and we would stay there every year |
