Weekend fun!!! | 9.21.2016

Big Bear Lake’s off Time is the best time! With the start of a cooler season, Big Bear Lake is Southern California’s prime spot to experience activities and events at 7,000 feet In the San Bernardino Mountain Range.
With a car typically packed with excitable kids (plus adults too!) I always look for the best and greatest events and fun-geared activities for our limited vacations and budgets. Big Bear Lake has presented itself as a vacation destination unlike any other for SoCal residents and visitors, with seasonal lake and ski resorts along with a bevy of outdoor adventures such as hiking and horseback riding. It’s also proved itself to be an affordable and easy trip from most San Diego and LA cities and suburbs.

The events during spring and summertime in Big Bear Lake cover an array of tastes and levels of entertainment from younger to older adventurers.  Events in Big Bear Lake can cover stage performances, lively and live music as well as art shows and sporting events – Big Bear Lake is THE place to hang out this spring break or summer season.

I decided to take a look at the upcoming events this weekend in Big Bear Lake, to best determine what our family would enjoy during our stay. Here are some of the great sounding events I ran across online at bigbear.com – I hope you find the perfect amount of fun!

Oktoberfest Saturday and Sunday starting at 12 Noon – This famous festival seems to draw crowds! It offers popular German food, music and beer, of course! There are outdoor vendors and items even for the kids to enjoy during the day. Get your arms flapping for the chicken dance!

The Village Fall Wine Walk – Takes place on Saturday, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM in The Village Downtown, where you scoop up glasses of wine for an admission price, Sample the various wine choices throughout the village shops and you’ll soon call this your favorite event all year ’round.

Hot Dawgz & Handrails on September 23rd & 24th – Returning to Bear Mountain, this exciting event brings both snow and live music! Several competitions will be hosted along with free give-a-way items! You can learn more here: http://hotdawgzandhandrails.com/

Around town, especially in the evenings, you can find local bars and restaurants with live music, karaoke and great ambiance for your time. You\d even be a hit with your kids for stopping by The Bowling Barn where they can glow bowl and where you can have a drink and appetizer right along with the fun. Don’t forget to arrange for a big bear lake cabin rentals for this weekend! Call 909-544-1887 to find your perfect abode.
