As you walk through the front door, the home opens into an impressive open great room floor plan, solid hardwood floors throughout, a gourmet kitchen and dining area that seats 8-10 with an adjacent granite island with room for 2 more seats, and wood/gas burning fireplace. While dinner is being prepared whether it’s in the kitchen or your cooking up a feast on the propane BBQ grill on the back deck, you can enjoy a movie on the UHD 70” flat screen with surround sound or enjoy your favorite music. The 2,600+ sq. ft. living area of the home contains 3 bedrooms upstairs.
The gourmet kitchen is completely stocked and is furnished with stainless steel appliances, gas stove and oven, coffee maker, waffle maker, crockpots, blender, dishes, glasses, utensils, cutlery, microwave, disposal, dishwasher, toaster, glasses, stemware, spa glasses, linens, bakeware, full set of pots and pans and all the necessary essentials for a festive holiday meal! ‘FREE WiFi”
The Master Suite is furnished with beautiful log furniture, king bed, full private bathroom, walk-in closet, 60” flat screen, an electric fireplace that gives the lovely Master Suite the right amount of coziness. The 2nd Master is decorated with rustic furniture, king bed, walk-in closet, sitting area with a comfy loveseat, 55” flat screen and the special touches to add warmth to this inviting Master. The 3rd Bedroom displays rustic furniture and 2 full-size beds enough for either 4 small children or 2 adults and is decorated to give you a snuggly feeling. A full-size bathroom is shared by the 2nd Master and 3rd Bedroom guests. Downstairs on the main level is a cozy bedroom with a set of bunk beds, armorer, flat screen and beautifully decorated.
A full-size front loading washer and dryer are upstairs with laundry soap, an iron and ironing board. The great room has comfortable sofas and a queen size futon with UHA 70” flat screen, all the electronic components and fireplace. There is a beautiful newly constructed rustic 350 sq. ft. game room downstairs that contains a pool table, Foosball table, bar, refrigerator, love seat, seating for at least 7 people, various board games for all ages below the bar. The walk-out game room opens up to a beautifully landscaped fenced-in backyard where you can relax on benches or grab a spa towel from the game room and enjoy the outdoor 45-jet Grande hot tub which accommodates 6-8 people. The strategically-placed solar lights brighten up the backyard like it was Disneyland! Beyond the fenced-in backyard, you have accessibility to an official horseshoe pit, and there is a small area for sledding and tobogganing with onsite toboggans for guests.
The front deck is equipped with a beautiful wrought iron swing and bench, while the back deck has a wrought iron table and chair set and a bench for more seating where you can sit and enjoy a good cup of Java or your favorite cocktail. Direct TV, DVD / Blu Ray, Bluetooth, Netflix are in the Master Suite, Master, Great Room and Game Room. The Great Room has a 5-disc CD player, while the bunk Bedroom on the main floor has access to a Direct TV. The entertainment system throughout the house has a sound bar/surround sound as well as WiFi.
Knollwood Retreat is the perfect vacation home in Big Bear and it’s close proximity to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain Ski Resorts, hiking, biking, boating, and running trails, a 5-minute walk to the lake and a 3 minute drive to the marina where you can rent a pontoon, enjoy a scenic narrated tour on the beautiful Big Bear Queen or try your luck at jet skiing, wakeboarding, wave runners, kayaks, stand-up paddle boats or water skiing. Moonridge Golf Course, the Discovery Center, restaurants, shopping, the Village, Performing Arts Center, spas and nail salons are also located nearby.
