The view was gorgeous and peaceful since the property backs up to a nature preserve, which was a great place to take a peaceful walk. It felt like we were off in the woods by ourselves. I was a bit concerned about the previous review (jacuzzi and cleanliness), but the jacuzzi worked great and I throught the place was quite clean (except for the rugs which could be cleaned, but pets and people walk on those constantly, so that didn't bother me). Renters should know that there are about 38 stair steps down to the house from the parking spot and be prepared to carry luggage etc down and up (at 7000 ft elevation!). Think of it as a mini-workout! We had a great time! |

August 2nd, 20224 out of 5 starsOverlook StayWe had a great stay at The Overlook! This was the first time we used Vrbo to book and the process was similar to others. I was vaguely concerned that we had to sign a contract even though we reserved the cabin through a booking app but it turned out fine. The cabin was as expected and suited our needs well. The only hiccup we weren’t informed about was the two flights of stairs to get to the front door. It made loading/unloading our stuff rather tedious. It would have been nice to have known this about the property before booking (I was imagining visiting with my grandmother and trying to get her up and down the stairs). Other than that though our experience was delightful and we would recommend this property. |

The hot tub was amazing to come home to after a cold day. We loved all the games that they provided us with! Would definitely come back. 5 stars all around. |

Not only are the management company friendly but they go above & beyond. The house was immaculate, clean & absolutely beautiful. The entire experience was pure heaven. My kids loved waking up in the morning & hitting the jacuzzi & looking out over the forest. We can’t wait to return!! |

December 31st, 20195 out of 5 starsClean GetawayWe enjoyed our stay at this cute house. It was clean and had plenty of blankets/pillows/towels for our stay. The heater kept us nice and warm from the outside cold. We appreciated how quickly we had hot water from the sinks and shower, which is a blessing when it’s so cold. The view they had from their deck was so beautiful, it looked fake!We happened to arrive the day after Christmas, and it snowed all day and night. Due to that, the roads can be a little scary down the windy hills. Definitely bring chains if there’s any kind of snow, whether you have 4-wheel drive or not. Not sure if this is a property OR rental management thing, but there is one negative here: having to take our trash to the trash place. This should be something the cleaning people take care of at the end of our stay. It is very inconvenient. Even if we’re charged an additional small fee for trash removal, it would be worth the hassle. Other than that, everything else was great! |
