Fall is coming! Plan ahead for great events!

Big Bear Lake is approaching Fall season, where the leaves fall off in bundles from the trees and the weather starts to require a scarf and gloves. Big Bear Lake has endless beauty and scenic sites galore for your next trip. If you celebrate Halloween, The Village on October 31st turns itself into a spooky wonderland for kids to enjoy with the local shops giving out sweets and treats to all the children. Come along in your best costumes!

Oktoberfest is also in full swing and you can enjoy the best in German beer fare, international food and music! Family Fun day is Sunday starting at 12 Noon and you can bring the kids to participate in games and contests. It’s one of the most popular events in Big Bear History and worth your time. Renting a room at  a lodge is standard, but booking your own cabin is the ultimate get-a-way treat. My family loves it and we visit once a year, typically in October to find budget family rates that help since the major holidays are just a couple short months away. Book a weekend in October and enjoy the family time before the busy season arrives in full swing! Live music, band events, concerts and tours are available all year – pick a weekend that looks best! You won’t regret it. If you want a scenic tour of Big Bear Lake, and to find striking fall colors and picturesque beauty, take a 45 minute drive around the entire lake and take in the beauty of it all. With just a short drive from LA or San Diego… you will soon be among tall pines instead of tall buildings!

My family and I typically rent cabins from Big Bear Property Services, and you should too! We have been treated professionally and kindly, plus renting a cabin which is clean and maintained. It’s the perfect place!
