My wife and I rented this “log cabin” style home for our wedding anniversary. The house is really lovely and situated amongst the pines in a very quiet part of Big Bear. Everything was lovely and we had a great time. The only drawbacks were that the next door neighbours do live there permanently and are quite noisy, and there is no curtain on the window of the master bathroom. That wouldn’t be a problem, but the window opens onto the main balcony. So if you’re showering or using the toilet, make sure no one is out on the deck! It was a nice getaway though, with plenty of chipmunks, squirrels, woodpeckers and Stellar’s Jays to watch, close enough to the supermarket (and Starbucks) and the little village area with gift shops and plenty of places to eat.
