Overview:
Slope Side Retreat is a 3 bedroom with loft plus 2 baths. This home is just steps away from Bear Mountain Resort! One of the very few homes where you can enjoy your time in the spa on the top deck and see your kids come right down the slopes!! The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, dishwasher and a dining table. The living room has kick back furnishings, flat TV/WiFi and fantastic views from the of the slopes! Two of the bedrooms are located downstairs with a shared full bath in the hallway. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has 2 twins. The 3rd bedroom upstairs has a king bed and a twin, plus a 3/4 bath and laundry in the upstairs hallway. The loft area overlooking the living room has a flat TV, pool table and 2 trundle beds and fantastic views. The side deck is huge with a propane BBQ, Spa, and amazing views of the slopes. Out front we have an access port for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles. Lots of fun and plenty of good times for you to enjoy your stay in Slope Side Retreat. Cable TV "FREE WiFi"

Rules to Vacation by
Do not exceed the occupancy limit
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy.
NO PARTIES ALLOWED.
No parking in street or yard
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.
No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.
Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Take your furry friend with you
Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog-friendly!
Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite unless there are commercial trash bins at your property (condo).

Consequences
Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences.
Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.
Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned.

The only friendly suggestion would be softer lighting (string lights or equivalent) at the patio/spa area as opposed to a very bright security light, and lighting at the stairwell leading up to the house from the driveway. |

July 13th, 20225 out of 5 starsCozy, Quiet StayEnjoyed the weekend here with friends, the five of us slept comfortably. This house is located in a serene neighborhood by the lake. The patio overlooks ski lift slopes. Evenings here were peaceful with no noisy neighbors; it is a perfect getaway for small families or groups of friends. The house is located with a drive time less than 15 minutes from the local grocery stores, very conveniently location to pick up food to grill on the BBQ or cook in the kitchen. It is also a less than fifteen-minute drive from the town and lake. I would rent again and recommend this stay with five stars. |

January 19th, 20225 out of 5 starsMLK weekendIt was great. The house had many useful supplies (except tin foil, laundry soap, and no dishwasher soap lol) but it was clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of extra blankets. Could use a couple more towels. We brought our own pool towels, but a couple extra would be nice. Over all it was very nice. Only thing that I would change is the outside paint color. Something more cabin like would be prettier. (Like brown, green, or red) Lastly, if they could get all the occupant info ahead of time in order to eliminate the in person check in, that would help. Some rentals take care of everything via phone or online so that you don’t have to stop somewhere to physically check in. However the check in location was conveniently close to the cabin so it’s no big deal. |

The view was great - saw a couple coyotes cruising up the slopes one morning- and the Jaccuzi was perfect! Master bed was very comfortable too. |

House was fully stocked and comfortable. However, was not aware from the description that we had to go upstairs in order to enter the house. That was an issue with a disabled child. House wasn't cleaned well, there were candy wrappers behind the bed and empty soda cans on the deck. Light fixtures, walls and beams had tons of cob webs. |

There is a large wooded area in the back that our kids were able to play and sled on (be careful with some drops!). It was up away from the commotion so was generally quiet. However, as we were right next to the Bear Mountain runs, the snowmakers at night were a bit bothersome. Overall, however, we all liked the place and would use it again. |
